Sonarr under user account
#1
Just started dabbling in Docker... and I have Sonarr semi-working (nothing connected yet). How do I run Sonarr as a regular user? The only access I have to Docker is through an admin user account.

I installed Docker manually as it is not officially supported on my 418play... if that is a factor.

You wanna run Sonarr container as a 'user' or you wanna run Sonarr UI under a different account?

If its the 1st one, then it all depends what image your are using. If its linuxserver one then they use PUID and PGID variables to pass user and group parameter of your Synology account you wanna use with that container.

As far as multiple user access to the Sonarr ui, thats still not implemented to my knowladge.

I set Sonarr up w/PUID/PGID for "user3" and figured that meant I could log in as user3 and start Sonarr. But no go there. So if I understand correctly since I've chosen not to launch Sonarr automatically (I'm yet to set up VPN), I must launch Sonarr via admin level login, but it runs as "user3". Is that correct?

Once I get VPN figured out, I plan to use Sonarr with qBittorent (both under Docker). I'm a bit leery of VPN since I'm not sure how I can test that qBittorent is actually working through it. Presently my Sonarr/qBittorent is on a PC and that is quite straightforward.
